Making Money Online With: eBay

Theres no doubt about it, eBay has become the first stop on the road for hopeful internet moguls.

Its one of the most simple and easy ways to sell goods online. Thousands of sellers and buyers browse the huge site each and everyday.

Unwanted gifts and douplicate birthday and christmas presents are the norm. Students wishing to earn a small amount tend to also sell weird and wonderful items such as already chewed chewing gum, and slices of cheesy toast suposidly with the 'Virgin Mary's' face on them. The toast by the way, made $28,000!

Anyone can buy and sell items on eBay, and the choice on the site can definatly be discribed as diverse. Setting up an account is free and only takes a few minutes.I would also reccomend that you sign up to the internet banking service PayPal. This is the easiest way to pay on the internet and is also free to join. If you happen to open a dispute with another person on eBay the paypal system is fair and you should recive your money back if all else fails.

You can sell nearly anything on the site, from your house or car, to a mobile phone or fish tank.

Of course there are a few costs involved. If you start an auction over the price of 0.99p then you will have to pay a listing fee. This allows you actually put the item on the site. They also charge you 10% of whatever your item happens to make through the auction. So if you sell an item for £10, they will charge you howevver much it costed you to list the item, PLUS 10%, so another £1. eBay have set a limit on the 10% charge and the maximum they can charge is £40. This extra 10% should be taken into account when listing your item and what you hope it will finally make.

Ive been using eBay for a few years now and made a fair amount of money out of it too. I would recomend the site if you are looking for a flexible income which totally depends on the items your able to sell.
